Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists fc Muhammed Azeez Audu has said that his team will remain focused in its preparations for the kick off of the 2023/24 NNL Season.
He revealed this to the Club Media against the backdrop of the recent pronouncement by the Organizers of the league postponding the league.
The Wikki Tourists gaffer said they received the announcement with mixed feelings in a way but assured that it will not affect their preparations for the Season.
We have planned very well just waiting for our first game, suddenly came the news of the postponement and naturally you will feel bad but I believe it’s for the good of the game.
The organisers were forced to do that and our only prayer is that we will have a new date soon, Azeez Concludes.
He added that while waiting for the new date they will continue with their normal training programmes and organise friendly matches in order to keep fit.
It could be recalled that the NNL organisers have earlier fixed the 28 of October 2023 as kick off date for the new season but was later Postponed due to what they sighted in their release on Wednesday 25/10/2023 as the inability of participating clubs to complete their registration for the Season and the statement did not however announce a new date but has given clubs up to 3rd of October 2023 to Complete the registration.
