WIKKI TOURISTS FC BEGINS THE 2023/24 NNL SEASON WITH A CONVINCING VICTORY OVER EFCC FC IN BAUCHI.
The rejuvenated Wikki Tourists fc of Bauchi has commenced the 2023/24 nnl season on a sound footing as they walloped visiting EFCC of Abuja by 5 un replied goals in one of the nnl games played today.
In what appears to be a difficult task in the first half were it ended 0-0 Wikki Tourists however changed the story on return into the second half.
The Azeez Audu tutored side became aggressive and hungry for goals after some substitutions were effected.
Nentaka Bangs who came in as substitute in the 55′ scored the opening goal five minutes after his introduction and also provided three assists to Owolabi Aremu in the 65′ and Muhammed Guda 78′ for the second and third goals respectively.
Promise Damala compounded EFCC ‘s problem in the 88′ with the fourth goal from another assist by Nentaka Bangs just as Klinshak Longbak draw the curtain with the 90+2’ goal which happens to be the fifth.
The routing of EFCC by the Bauchi giant elephant is a morale booster to the club’s campaign and target to return to Premier.
In a post match interview, Wikki Tourists Technical Adviser Azeez Audu said the result is a morale
booster to the entire team.
We have been working hard for this day and the whole league and God has answered us, we hope it will continue said Azeez.
He however said that the league has just begun and therefore need continuous Commitment and sacrifice to achieve the desired goal.
The Wikki Tourists tactician commended his lad for playing to instructions and the Supporters of the team for their unwavering encouragement and support.
Wikki Tourists fc will be visitors to Mighty Jets of Jos next weekend for match day 2 of the 2023/24 nnl season.
